Ginger’s Jewelry called again for another creative jewelry shot. I was stoked to get the call! This time it was pearls, pearls, and more pearls. I spent a few days sketching out ideas and nothing was striking my fancy. I remembered having gotten my son a treasure chest when we were at Disney year before last. We had been on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and as we got off we were strategically dropped smack dab in the middle of a gift shop (gotta love those park planners). He got one of those small treasure chests that you could fill full of fake jewels and fake gold coins and useless stuff like that. It occurred to me that maybe the little treasure chest would work in the shoot. After filling it full of the pearl jewelry I grab some old coral pieces that I had laying around from my days as a novice saltwater aquarium hobbyist and all of a sudden I had something that was working for me. Obviously this is not a shot that would sell a single piece of jewelry, but more of an ad design for a magazine to promote the sale of pearls by a jewelry store. I think it turned out nicely and I really like the look of the whole scene. Hope you enjoy!
