McNair and Aaron are two wonderful people. They were married on April twenty-fouth at The Rockwood Manor in Dublin, VA. The rain held off for most of it, but a hit or miss shower seemed to only add to the excitement of the day! McNair got ready upstairs and Aaron downstairs. I took the groomsmen out to do some portraits and left my second-shooter Susi Hutchison with the bride. The day was incredible and McNair and Aaron were fantastic to work with. A gorgeous Bride, a beautiful day, and a fantastic location! Could a photographer ask for anymore? Outdoor weddings are the best! Jodie Anjanette Moore and John Jay Tutalo got married Saturday, November 7th, 2009 at the home of Jim and Dee Rivers. Jim and Dee have a picturesque covered deck overlooking an amazing pond with a magnificent fountain. Jodie and John both live in New York and decided to fly home to have their wedding at this incredible location in Roanoke, VA.

Jodie is a phenomenal pianist and you can hear her tickling the ivories on and off Broadway for many of the Plays in New York City. John works on The David Letterman Show. They are both truly wonderful people and I was so glad they chose me to photograph their special day. It was so hard to narrow down all the great shots and I may have gone a little overboard with all of them that are posted below, but as a good friend of mine says “It iz, vhat it iz.”

Weddings are my favorite events to shoot. A wedding photographer must be able to shoot portraits, fashion, food, architecture and events all while keeping the happy couple on their hectic wedding day schedule. It makes men of mice to say the least. One thing that made this wedding easier than most is that the bride is a photographer herself. Can you say free art direction. Kellie Sliwa is a good friend of mine from college. We both attended The Savannah College of Art and Design’s Photography Program together. So when she called and asked me to photograph her special day, I was so there! We meet up to begin our adventure at The Hair and Face Lounge where owner Karen Parsons rocked the up-dos! Great job on the hair to Karen and all the other stylists there, Kellie and the bridesmaids looked phenomenal!
